"Why would I want a basic sewing class if I am already quilting?"you ask. Well, I'll tell you. Many people jump into quilting without learning the very basics of sewing. Eventually, through trial and error, people do figure out the process but it takes a while and many errors. In this class you will learn about fabric handling, cutting and pressing, proper seam allowances, managing your flow of work when following a quilt pattern, and at least 87 tips and tricks to make things easier. This is an experimental class and you will have a completed pillowcase at the end of the first session.
The second session will reinforce the lessons from session 1 and teach you the basics of a simple clothing pattern. At the end of this session, you will have created pajama pants for someone.
