LONG ARM

Quilters on Grand recently purchased a new Amara Long Arm Quilter with a 20" throat. The quilter is on a 12' frame with pin point laser, rear handles for use with pantographs, and a light bar.

Before a member can use the long arm quilter, attendance at a general orientation class and pairing with a mentor is required. Once the orientation has been completed, an appointment, with the mentor, for a hands on lesson on using the machine. The mentor will determine how many times you will need assistance before you can schedule an appointment to come to use the machine on your own.

You can free motion quilt or use a pantograph. We suggest learning to use a pantograph as this makes the learning curve much easier. We have several paper pantographs available for your use. However, you are welcome to purchase your own.
