1. 1 piece of foam core board - white is preferred (Dollar Store")
2. Batting (cotton or 80/20 batting) approximately the size of the foam core board.
3. Fusible fleece (optional) to stabilize the finished piece.
4. Sky fabric: 4-5" high x 9-18" wide. This can be hand painted, batik mottled, ombre, or printed fabric. The sky sets the mood for the entire piece.

8. Backing fabric: 1/2 yard (fat quarters are often enough).
9. Variety of threads for top stitching fabric and a neutral bobbin thread.
10. Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
11. Walking foot, if you have one.
12. Long, fine pins. "Flat flower" pins work well.
